School Janitor - Cleaner - Hiring On Call! Kotzebue, AK
NMS is currently seeking candidates for on-call and rotational roles with flexible scheduling options. Employees may also have the opportunity to rotate or work in other NANA Villages as needed.

Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER
As a School Janitor - Cleaner, you keep our facilities looking good. You arrive for each custodial shift ready to get to work cleaning. You enjoy "getting in the zone" and working efficiently but are also friendly and service oriented. Whether it's dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, or doing other janitorial work, you love the satisfaction of checking off tasks.
You remove the trash and transport it to the appropriate areas. As needed, you help out with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs. At the end of each custodial shift, you feel proud seeing the school shine!
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER
Minimum Requirements
• At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record that is acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
