Master Control Operator:

Weigel Broadcasting Co in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Master Control Operator to join the Master Control Team.


What You’ll Do

· Set up, operate, and control television broadcast equipment

· Monitor television broadcast equipment to transmit television programs and commercials to viewing audience

· Conduct on-air switching, dubbing, and transferring programs

· Manage and gather satellite feeds for broadcast use

· Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform use

· Perform additional duties as assigned


What You’ve Done

· Minimum two years of experience in broadcast or video production

· Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and database software

· Hands-on experience with television equipment operation, automation systems, and tape and disk-based video servers

· Working knowledge of satellite controllers, video waveform monitors, vectorscopes, master control switching and routing systems

· Proven ability to perform accurately and efficiently under pressure of television operations control

· Developed and displayed responsible work habits with minimal supervision

· Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
