Job description

Regional Driver | Home Every Other Weekend | $1,400–$1,600 Weekly | Raleigh, NC (27601)

Weekly Earnings: $1,400–$1,600
Home Time: Every other weekend with a full 48-hour reset
Freight Type: Dry van | No-touch loads | Nationwide coverage

A consistent run schedule and stable freight lanes give drivers in this position a routine they can rely on. Instead of constantly shifting between different types of loads, drivers stay on long-haul routes that repeat, making it easier to manage both time on the road and time at home.

Truck Setup
Drivers operate late-model Freightliner, Kenworth, International, and Volvo tractors equipped with automatic transmissions. Trucks include APUs, power inverters, refrigerator space, and mounting areas for TV and microwave. Equipment is maintained regularly to help reduce downtime and keep drivers moving.

Work Pattern
This fleet follows a 12-day run followed by a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. The structure stays consistent, allowing drivers to plan ahead and avoid unpredictable scheduling changes. Routes are assigned with pre-planning in mind to keep trips organized.

Compensation & Benefits
Drivers typically earn between $1,400 and $1,600 per week depending on miles and experience. Freight volume stays steady, which helps maintain consistent weekly income. Additional pay is available for qualifying delays, and after 6 months drivers are eligible for full benefits, including:

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Additional compensation for detention

Load Information
Freight moves across the lower 48 states with average hauls around 700–750 miles. Loads are 100% no-touch, and a large portion is drop and hook. This reduces time spent at customers and helps drivers stay on schedule.

Driver Options
Drivers may take the truck home during reset if safe parking is available, or park at an approved terminal or drop yard. Rider and pet programs are available after approval.

Requirements
Valid Class A CDL with at least 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience required.

CK Transportation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
