Job description

Fuel Your Passion for Precision: Be Part of a Dynamic Diagnostic Team in the Heart of Chandler
Overview
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Clinical Lab Technician who seamlessly combines curiosity with accuracy-a professional committed to enhancing patient care with each specimen processed. In this fulfilling full-time, first-shift opportunity at a lively community hospital in the heart of Chandler, you will play a pivotal role in delivering vital diagnostic results. You will collaborate with compassionate colleagues, backed by a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your career development and overall well-being.
Description - Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct both routine and complex clinical laboratory analyses-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluate test outcomes for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out scheduled maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
  • Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for testing when required.
  • Ensure detailed documentation of all lab procedures, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining the lab's quality standards.
  • Promote a clean and safe working environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hiring.
  • Maintain current certification throughout employment.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially in quality control and paperwork.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive market-competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous time-off policy starting from day one, with vacation and holiday accrual based on experience.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development support.
  • A robust total rewards package that prioritizes your wellness as a whole person.

Count On Precision for Real Impact
In this role, your meticulous work with microscopes directly influences the lives of patients and healthcare providers alike. A single slide might provide clarity on an infection or validate the need for antibiotics; another could identify a metabolic issue before any symptoms come to light. Your expertise facilitates the accuracy that patients, nurses, and doctors count on each day.
A Culture of Collaboration and Growth
This position transcends duties; it embodies a community spirit. You will belong to a passionate team that prizes continuous improvement. In-lab seasonal meetings, competency refreshers, and initiatives for process enhancement create an environment where your voice is heard. You'll have the chance to participate in committees, suggest process improvements, and guide new team members as they find their footing.

Envision yourself in a charming city where urban amenities harmoniously blend with outdoor adventures. Tree-lined paths and serene lakes invite outdoor enthusiasts, while an array of farmers markets buzz with life and local flavors. Imagine you are rummaging through artisan goods, enjoying live music at vibrant community events, or savoring a freshly brewed coffee at cozy cafés that double as neighborhood gathering spots. Your days off could be spent paddleboarding under the warm sun or basking in the glow of sunset concerts in the park. The welcoming spirit of this community fosters genuine connections, qualities that resonate within the local healthcare scene too.
Accessible commutes facilitate work-life balance, while manageable housing costs afford you the opportunity to truly enjoy life-whether that's at local wineries, cheering at football games, or setting off on spontaneous weekend road trips.
Creating Positive Change in Community Health
Here, every laboratory staff member is more than just a technician-they are integral to the health of the community. You will witness the ripple effect of your work-swift diagnoses lead to safer care, satisfied patients, and improved healthcare outcomes.
