) Position Title: Staff Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor
Summary: Lunar Healthcare at Copper Ridge is recruiting for a registered nurse to fill a management/leadership role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction during a designated shift.
The RN Supervisor serves as a clinical operational liaison between units and the DON, ADON, medical director, and other nursing staff. He/she is responsible for the clinical operations of the facility including ensuring compliance with Peak Healthcare policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations during the time they are working in that capacity. RN Supervisor positions are available for all shifts and weekends. Must be COVID vaccinated. Limited opportunities available, apply today!
Duties:
Observe and monitor residents' health and assess their needs to provide quality care
Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures
Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.
Supervise, manage, and assist in training LPN's and GNA's on staff
Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary
Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility
Collaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage
Effectively utilizes existing manpower to limit the amount of overtime/agency needed to support staffing
Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients/residents
Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their families
Monitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.
Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.
Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.
Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.
Investigates patient/family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.
Requirements:
Current state nursing licensure
BLS/CPR certification
In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines
Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills
Experience supervising GNA's and LPN's in a nursing home setting
