Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, Mondayโ€“Friday, 7:00 AMโ€“3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) | Call required: minimum one weekday per week plus weekend rotation (weekday on-call 3:30 PMโ€“7:00 AM; weekend on-call 7:00 AMโ€“7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as circulating RN in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
  • Ensure availability and readiness of supplies, maintain timeliness of surgical cases, and update physician preference cards
  • Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases across a variety of specialties including general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics
  • Communicate with patient families and serve as a point of contact throughout the surgical episode of care
  • Supervise personnel involved in delivering patient care within the surgical department
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Experience across multiple surgical specialties: general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics
  • Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Familiarity with high-volume surgical environments performing approximately 250 procedures per month
  • Experience working in a smaller community hospital or critical access setting
