About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Carlsbad, New Mexico, 88220!

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing care within a patient ratio of 1:6
  • Care for adult patients and occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor
  • Utilize the MedHost EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
  • Float to other units as required per facility needs
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Must be submitted through an agency registered with the State of New Mexico (fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Experience with MedHost EMR
