Nurse Supervisor - RN or LPN

Full Time | Evenings | Monday - Friday (with on call responsibilities)

The Nurse Supervisor - RN or LPN will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and patients, while also providing support and guidance to our nursing staff. You will be responsible for overseeing the evening shift, ensuring that all nursing staff are working together seamlessly to provide high-quality care to our residents. The Nurse Supervisor - RN or LPN duties will include:

  • Managing Nursing Staff: Directly supervise nursing staff throughout the campus including the Greenhouse homes. Providing guidance, education, and training as needed. Addressing any performance issues with staff as needed.
  • Ensuring Safety: Ensuring sufficient staffing to meet the needs of our residents. Responding to staff call outs and covering as the floor nurse as needed. Maintain a safe and secure environment for our residents, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that resident safety is always the top priority.
  • Rounding All Units: Conduct regular rounds of the campus floating between the Main building and the Greenhouse homes, ensuring that residents are receiving the highest level of care and that any concerns or issues are addressed promptly. Assisting our floor nurses with admissions, discharges and resident changes in status.

Qualifications for the Nurse Supervisor - RN or LPN :

  • RN preferred: applicants must have experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience: We are seeking candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a long-term care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members, as well as manage conflicts and difficult situations.
  • This role is part of our on call rotation which would encompass being on call for a week every 7-8 weeks.
