Provide leadership for the weekend staff and have open communication with the DON and ADON.

Provide routine care, observe residents’ health, assist doctors, and communicate instructions to resident's regarding medication, home-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes as a RN.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help implement and evaluate care plans for individual care of each resident as a RN/LPN.

  • Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices as a RN/LPN.

  • Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders in a timely manner.

  • Reports required condition changes, events to appropriate parties.

  • Administers medication/treatments as prescribed as an RN/LPN.

  • Monitors infection control compliance.

  • Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.

  • Record a resident’s medical history accurately

  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.

  • Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.

  • Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose residents' charts

  • Assist ailing residents in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.

  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks

  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed

  • Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Job requirements:

  • Proven experience as RN or similar role

  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team

  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures

  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry

  • Perfect physical condition and stamina

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate and able to handle stress

  • Successful completion of RN license program is a must.
