JOB SUMMARY

The Risk Analyst's mission is to help the Company maintain and grow its portfolio of law firm relationships. Because not all law firms present the same level of opportunity or risk, the Risk Analyst is responsible for evaluating both new and existing firms. The review process will vary based on factors such as firm size, the depth of our relationship history, geographic location, lead sources, and other relevant considerations.   2. The ability to analyze data and draw clear, well-supported conclusions;
  3. Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize findings in concise executive summaries;
  4. The ability to work independently while performing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Firm Research – approximately 60% of the time will be spent on researching law firms utilizing a variety of data sources, including: Internal performance data (leads, originations, collections, write-offs), firm location, specialty, size – utilizing AI solutions to research the law firms, and firm staff – compare existing contacts for the firm to see if they are still at the firm or if they have moved to another location
  • Completing Risk Evaluation – approximately 20% of the time, after completing firm research, the Risk Analyst will prepare a written executive summary summarizing changes in the firm’s performance since the last evaluation, notating anything new that the analyst learned about the firm, and most importantly, making a recommendation about future engagement with the firm.
  • Special Projects – working closely with the Risk and Portfolio Management team, you will have an opportunity to work on projects that will further expand your knowledge as it relates to Structured Finance (Securitizations, Warehouse lending, and Rating Agencies)

EDUCATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Naturally curious with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting Excel data to identify trends and opportunities.
