DC Team Lead
Reporting To: DC Manager
Direct Reports: Yes
Status: Full-Time
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Division: Distribution and Logistics
Job Purpose:
The Distribution Center (DC) Team Lead oversees and assists with the day-to-day activities of the assigned department and Team Members, as instructed by the DC Department Supervisor. Acts as a "player-coach," monitoring and assisting the work of Warehouse Team Members performing a variety of duties in the warehouse. Assists with implementing work procedures to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale within the operation.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and provide performance feedback to team members.
• Train, coach, motivate, and provide guidance to assigned Team Members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate workflow within the department.
• Achieve and exceed KPI goals.
• Utilize RF scanner and computer system for troubleshooting and product retrieval.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Serve as subject matter expert and process owner for the department.
• Ensure proper use and accountability of tools and equipment.
• Assist with Root Cause Analysis and propose countermeasures for incidents.
• Develop, implement, and sustain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist with various warehouse functions as needed (e.g., picking, packing, receiving, stocking, loading, unloading, inventory control).
Requirements:
• A high school diploma, GED certification, or equivalency.
• Preferred equipment operator with certification or ability to obtain it in OP, RC, Forklift, Pallet Jack, and Tugger.
• Lead or supervisor experience or currently in a XL Parts/TPH inventory control.
• Experienced and proficient with computers and RF scanners.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:
Employees can expect a standard 9-hour workday in a warehouse environment that includes tasks such as walking, squatting, and lifting. Physical requirements may involve demonstrating the ability to lift heavy objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Employees are responsible for ensuring all passageways, storerooms, floors, counters and restrooms, especially keeping their personal work area clean. Before end of shift each employee should review the entire workplace and put away unused materials/supplies and clear trash. Employees should also report any work hazards immediately upon discovery.
