Position Overview
Cox Media Group in Atlanta is seeking a strategic, innovative, team-oriented, and passionate journalist to be an anchor/reporter. This person will also serve as a content editor. - Ability to conduct live and/or taped interviews
- Write and track story wraps
- Ability to anchor live coverage of breaking news and/or special coverage
- Work with reporters on stories and serve as a content editor
- Excellent communication, organization, judgement and writing skills
- Be consistently up to date on local, national and international stories
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Coordinate with digital team to integrate reporter content to digital and social platforms
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three years of anchoring and reporting experience
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Bachelor's Degree required (Journalism, English or Communications preferred)
- Must be willing to work a schedule that includes holidays and non-traditional work hours
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
