Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our growing wound care team. This position requires immediate availability and frequent travel to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities throughout Texas. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, providing high-quality patient care, and traveling extensively throughout the week.

All approved travel expenses will be fully reimbursed in addition to your competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide wound care treatments and nursing services under the direction of the supervising provider.
  • Perform patient assessments and monitor wound healing progress.
  • Accurately document treatments, observations, and patient responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, facility staff, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain wound care supplies, equipment, and treatment areas.
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel to assigned facilities throughout Texas as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Current and active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required.
  • Immediate availability to begin working.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including at least 4 days per week with overnight stays as needed.
  • Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in wound care, long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute care preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Wound care experience.
  • Experience working in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or long-term care facilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
