Work Environment

As a remote team member, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while connecting with clients primarily through virtual platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to establish clients’ substance use and mental health backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to diverse recovery needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and peer support specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate clients’ families on addiction dynamics and recovery processes to foster a supportive home environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support individuals suffering from substance use disorders, including alcohol and drug addiction. Many clients also face co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. Your role is critical in facilitating their recovery journey, emphasizing empowerment through skill-building and coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification in addiction counseling or related specialization is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling or working with populations experiencing substance use issues.
  • Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based treatment modalities specific to substance abuse and dual diagnosis.
  • Exceptional counseling and communication skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate clients towards achieving their recovery goals.
