Territory Sales Engineer - Civil Construction Materials

Territory Sales - Civil, Structural, Sales Engineer - Construction Materials

Location: Remote from your home with 50% travel, Southeastern Territory

Salary: Base: $110,000 - $140,000 + Commission No Cap = OTE first year ($130,000 - $200,000+) plenty of room for aggressive growth in subsequent years.


Pivotal opening in a rich territory for a dynamic, technical professional in cutting-edge civil infrastructure construction solutions - sales.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set appointments within the territory, conducting 'lunch and learn' presentations. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients: Engineering firms, Contractors, Owners, Municipal infrastructure contacts such as: DOT
  • Identify and prospect potential clients in the commercial, engineering, general contractors, industrial & municipal construction industries.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, analyses & forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in: Civil or Structural Engineering or Construction Technology, Construction Management or equivalent experience in infrastructure construction engineering or related.
  • 2+ years of work in the industry, ideal if you're working in civil construction, rebar, or related heavy earthwork construction - or related sales.
  • Ideal if you have your EIT, PE or related technical client relationship or business development experience with construction products, calling on general contractors, DOT, State and local municipalities, engineering firms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and anticipate customer needs.
  • Familiarity with lead generation strategies and customer relationship management techniques.
