In this remote role, the LCSW will operate primarily from a climate-controlled home office, allowing for flexibility and comfort while you connect with patients through telehealth platforms. Daily interactions will occur with department members and other healthcare providers, fostering teamwork and collaboration in providing comprehensive patient care. • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ mental health using tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of patients and their families impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards using the organization’s current technological systems.
• Collaborate closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to craft comprehensive treatment plans that address specific needs and desired outcomes.
• Establish productive relationships with external referral agencies and other clinicians to facilitate patient care.
• Provide education and foster skill development for students, interns, residents, and volunteers to enrich their learning experiences.
• Engage in peer collaboration, chart audits, and clinical reviews as directed by the clinical supervisor to enhance team effectiveness.

This position focuses primarily on serving individuals and families affected by cancer, offering support through therapeutic modalities that address both psychological challenges and practical concerns stemming from diagnoses. • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Experience working within oncology settings or with patients experiencing chronic illness is highly desirable.
