Job description

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team of professionals providing vital therapeutic services to children and families across Reno, Nevada, in a flexible, remote setting. The successful candidate will engage in both individual and group therapy sessions, offering support to children with developmental disabilities and their families, while promoting mental health and positive behavioral changes.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, our mission is to empower families and support youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities through comprehensive youth and family support services. Our Outpatient Office, while primarily remote, cultivates a collaborative and inclusive environment where professionals can share insights and strategies to elevate the quality of care provided to our clients. We pride ourselves on adapting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This full-time role allows for remote work, offering therapists the flexibility to conduct in-home therapy sessions or meet with clients in our outpatient office as needed. The position encourages the use of technology and telehealth resources, facilitating innovative approaches to delivering therapeutic services. Collaboration is paramount; therapists work closely with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each familyโ€™s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy sessions within the outpatient center, focusing on effective interventions that cater to childrenโ€™s emotional and behavioral advancements.
  • Implement strategies for anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, aiming to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
  • Facilitate collaborative decision-making processes with both youth clients and their caretakers to address in-home behavioral challenges, enhancing family dynamics.
  • Regularly engage with and provide updates to the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals involved in the clientโ€™s care.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal protocols.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations that contribute to case management and service delivery improvements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to support children ages 3 to 20 who face developmental and intellectual challenges. Providing therapy requires a nuanced understanding of varied disabilities, and the role demands a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for clients and their families. This position is not just a job; itโ€™s a commitment to making a significant difference in the lives of children and their caregivers.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
  • Availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with willingness to accommodate weekend sessions where necessary.
  • Strong foundations in providing positive behavior support to children in various settings.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate travel to clientsโ€™ homes and outpatient sessions.
  • A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is essential to ensure client safety and trust.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with children and adolescents within the 3-20 age range, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • Familiarity with therapeutic modes that emphasize crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
  • Experience in family systems therapy and skills in engaging with families in order to foster supportive therapy environments.
Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to USD 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong compensation package, employees benefit from:

  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment encouraging independent thought and professional creativity.
  • Group health coverage that supports individual and family well-being.
  • Annual paid time off to promote a healthy work-life balance, ensuring rejuvenation and productivity.
  • Short and long-term disability coverage.
  • A 401(k) retirement plan to help employees save for their future.
  • Ongoing job training and opportunities for professional growth through continued education and certifications.
