Job Title: Conflicts Analyst

Industry: Legal Services

Location: 100% Remote - US based

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $50,000 – $75,000 annually

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established national law firm with offices across the United States. They provide comprehensive legal services to businesses of all sizes across a variety of practice areas, including corporate law, litigation, labor and employment, real estate, intellectual property, finance, and regulatory matters. Known for their collaborative environment and commitment to client service, they are expanding their Conflicts team due to continued growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough conflict-of-interest searches for new matters, clients, and attorney lateral hires using the firm's conflicts management system.
  • Evaluate search results to identify potential ethical or business conflicts and communicate findings to attorneys and internal stakeholders.
  • Research corporate structures, parent companies, subsidiaries, and related entities to ensure accurate conflict analysis.
  • Partner with attorneys, compliance professionals, and legal teams to assist with conflict resolution and risk assessment.
  • Prepare engagement letters, conflict waivers, ethical screen documentation, and other related materials for review.
  • Maintain and update client and matter records to ensure the integrity of the firm's conflicts database.
  • Respond to inquiries from attorneys and legal support staff while delivering exceptional internal client service.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support when urgent conflicts reviews are required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of conflicts analysis experience within a mid-sized or large law firm.
  • Experience with Intapp or similar legal conflicts software strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules related to conflicts of interest.
  • Experience reviewing lateral attorney conflicts is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with professionals at all levels of the organization.
