Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES) offers forward-thinking technology solutions to federal agencies and the DoD. Formed in 2016 to serve federal customers CONUS, CITES has grown quickly into a best practices leader for the modern federal enterprise.ย 

The Business Analystย serves as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and the Agile Development Team to ensure mission requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, documented, and translated into Salesforce-based solutions. This role leverages both functional business analysis and technical Salesforce knowledge to support requirements gathering, backlog refinement, release planning, testing, stakeholder demonstrations, and solution delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment. The position plays a critical role in ensuring customer-driven solutions align with organizational objectives and Government mission requirements.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, product owners, users, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and software requirements for Agile Development Teams.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions, stakeholder meetings, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and solution reviews.
  • Serve as the primary functional resource between business stakeholders and Salesforce developers to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements through Salesforce platform capabilities, automation, and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate work products with Agile Development Teams and internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Support release planning activities and ensure customer requirements are incorporated into scheduled releases.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and defect resolution efforts.
  • Review and validate Salesforce configurations, customizations, workflows, page layouts, record types, and business process implementations.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, requirements traceability matrices, process maps, and training materials.
  • Prepare and deliver stakeholder briefings, demonstrations, and presentations in support of program objectives.
  • Assist the MAT Project Director in customer engagements, program demonstrations, and executive-level communications across the Department of Defense.
  • Monitor project progress and identify risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work effectively in a remote environment during established Core Hours (Eastern Time Zone).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelorโ€™s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Salesforce administration, software development, or a related technical role.
    • Experience working within Agile software development environments, supporting requirements gathering and solution delivery.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including:
    • Standard and custom objects
    • Page layouts
    • Record types
    • Workflows and business process automation
    • Salesforce integrations and standard platform functionality
  • Experience developing:
    • User stories
    • Functional requirements
    • Acceptance criteria
    • Process documentation
    • Test scenarios and validation plans
    • Experience collaborating with technical teams to support Salesforce implementations, enhancements, and releases.

  • This position requires CUI access (ADP-III, IT-3, Tier 1 Investigation) and general user network permissions with the potential of obtaining a SECRET clearance.
