Job description

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, partnering with top hospitals and health systems nationwide to deliver advanced diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care close to home. With a national footprint, cutting-edge technology, and a strong commitment to innovation and patient-centered care, our team plays a vital role in improving outcomes for millions of patients per year.
We are currently hiring for a Manager of Analytics to join our team. This role will be fully remote, but must be based within the US with a preference for the Eastern and Central time zones.
The Manager of Analytics will be responsible for designing and delivering dashboards, key performance indicators, business intelligence solutions, and analytical insights across several of the organization's core business units. The primary objective of this role is to translate complex operational and financial questions into clear, structured, and actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with business unit leaders to identify and prioritize critical performance questions, and translate those questions into well-structured dashboards, KPIs, and analytical frameworks.
  • Design and maintain high-quality Tableau dashboards that provide operational and financial leaders with the visibility required to effectively manage performance. Develop standardized KPI definitions, governance protocols, and data documentation that establish a single, trusted source of truth across the enterprise.
  • Conduct rigorous analytical deep-dives on business performance, identifying root causes and formulating actionable recommendations that extend beyond descriptive reporting. Collaborate with IT and data engineering stakeholders to address data availability, quality, and pipeline requirements.
  • Contribute, over time, to artificial intelligence and automation initiatives that advance the organization's analytical capabilities from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience, with a substantial portion in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, with a track record of developing dashboards and analytical tools that are actively utilized by business stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python sufficiently to query datasets, perform data preparation, and automate recurring analytical tasks.
  • Strong command of structured problem-solving methodologies, executive-level communication, and stakeholder management consistently with a consulting or strategy background.
  • Intellectual curiosity about business operations and a disposition toward understanding underlying drivers, not merely surface-level outputs.
  • Ability to serve as an effective bridge between business and technical audiences, communicating with clarity and credibility across both domains
  • Experience using LLMs and AI agents in the course of work to automate tasks, perform research, and other use cases
  • Travel may be required up to 10%

Preferred:
  • Healthcare industry exposure is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in radiology, diagnostic imaging, revenue cycle management, or related healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data sources, including claims data, electronic medical record data, and operational performance metrics.
