About the Organization

At Thrive Mental and Counseling Center, we are passionately committed to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. We offer a comprehensive range of therapeutic services that focus on emotional health and wellness. Our expert team specializes in addressing substance use recovery, developmental disabilities, and acquired brain injuries. By emphasizing person-driven programming, we respect the dignity of each client, aiming to foster independence, community engagement, wellness, and successful recovery pathways.

This role will be primarily remote, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own space while still having access to our outpatient office facilities as needed. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and collaborative work environment that empowers our counselors to pursue personal passions and engage deeply with their patients. You will benefit from a structured schedule that prioritizes both professional and personal time, with no weekend shifts required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to inform treatment plans, ensuring that evidence-based practices guide your therapeutic delivery.
  • Facilitate group, individual, family, and couples sessions, employing therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive client care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards to support patient care and organizational compliance.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and staying current on the latest mental health research and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing mental health challenges, families navigating crises, couples seeking to improve their relationships, and individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Your approach will be guided by a respect for each clientโ€™s unique background and circumstances, allowing you to create a safe and supportive environment for their healing process.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting, is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and ethical counseling standards is crucial to ensure compliance and protect client welfare.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary to build rapport and connect with a diverse range of clients.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and related technologies to support documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly regarded.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to enhance holistic client care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer:

  • Monthly productivity bonuses to reward high performance and dedication.
  • Opportunities for continued professional development and supervision, ensuring you maintain your skills and expertise.
  • A team-oriented work culture that emphasizes collaboration and mutual support.
  • Flexible scheduling that accommodates your personal commitments and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave.
  • 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% company match to help you prepare for the future.
  • Assistance for first-time home buyers.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as dependent care accounts.
  • A sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
