Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized therapy services for clients in outpatient settings, addressing personal, relational, and family-related challenges.
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health status, relational dynamics, and treatment goals, developing personalized therapy plans accordingly.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices rooted in family systems theory to tackle issues such as communication breakdowns, conflicts, and family stressors, implementing systemic interventions to foster understanding and healing.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and their families during times of distress.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation consistent with ethical standards and legal obligations, facilitating seamless treatment continuity.
  • Educate clients on practical skills related to communication, conflict resolution, and effective coping mechanisms to bolster their emotional and relational health.
  • Work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to develop a comprehensive and integrated approach to client care.
  • Stay engaged with continuous professional development through training and workshops, ensuring therapy practices are aligned with the latest research and methodologies in marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families from varied backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and circumstances. Our patient demographic may include those dealing with communication issues, marital conflicts, parenting stress, and more complex relational dynamics. With flexibility in your approach, you will adapt therapy to meet the distinct needs of adults and adolescents within the family context.

Qualifications
  • Must possess current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
  • At least three years of experience in providing counseling services within a clinical environment, with a focus on marriage and family therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ethical and confidential practices in compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards.
