Job description

As an HVAC/R Apprentice, you will gain experience in servicing and installing HVAC systems including Rooftop units, gas heating systems, split systems, heat pumps, variable refrigerant flow systems, mini split systems, exhaust fans, energy recovery ventilators, makeup air units, chillers, boilers, hydronic pumps, and more.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities
  • Work towards becoming a licensed technician.
  • Attend required classes as required by Rhode Island.
  • Assist Journeymen technician and foreman.
  • Refrigeration experience is a plus.
  • Experience with control systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication skills & customer relations.
  • Safety on the jobsite at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned

WorkEnvironment:
This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Will climb ladders and stairs every day.
PositionsType and Expected hours of Work:
Workday is based on 8-hour day between the hours of 7am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime will be available and work during nights and weekends will be required.
Travel: Travel is required throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts
