Job description

Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. We are seeking an upbeat and friendly Receptionist to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled health care professionals at our skilled nursing facility in Amityville!

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the facility in a warm, friendly and upbeat manner.

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.

  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries

  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the front door

  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, faxing

Qualified applicants must:

  • Must have weekend availibility and flexibility to cover occasional weekdays if needed

  • Possess helpful, cheerful and friendly demeanor

  • Maintain high level of professionalism

  • Hospital, Nursing Home or Assisted Living experience preferred

  • Experience with SigmaCare preferred

  • Excellent client service skills

  • Microsoft suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) experience
