Front Desk Receptionist – Night Watch Pediatric Urgent CareNight Watch Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our Winchester, VA location.As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced urgent care environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and families warmly and create a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
  • Register patients and accurately collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to questions from patients, families, and referring providers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Direct patient questions and concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider or department as needed.
  • Collect patient payments and explain applicable financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with insurance-related processes and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while protecting the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with clinical and medical staff to support efficient patient flow.
  • Collaborate with other front desk team members and healthcare staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in training and remain current on clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Support a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, professionalism, and mutual respect.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional education or training in healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office, urgent care, healthcare setting, front desk, or customer service role is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and coworkers.
  • Comfortable using computers, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
