Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for opening and/or closing the building; screening and signing in all visitors, clients, guests, volunteers, and vendors; monitoring and operating security alarms and cameras, as well as access control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Unlock gates and building in the morning and/or lock building and gates at night. Complete perimeter and interior security check in the morning and evening. Ensure that front entrance access is available during normal business hours and/or clinic hours, and that front entrance is locked at close of business day when clinic is not in session.

  • Greet and sign in all visitors, clients, volunteers and employees. Notify staff of arrival of visitors, vendors and deliveries. Secure authorization from appropriate staff person or client before allowing visitors to leave the first-floor lobby.

  • Operate security cameras, observe video monitors and notification of improper activities to appropriate personnel, Document, and report. Monitor building and surrounding property during business hours.

  • Monitor security of building and activities surrounding building and property during business hours. Document and report unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel.

  • Accurately document and maintain all logbooks, including but not limited to, visitor log, staff log, vendor log, 311 log, protestor log, etc.

  • Monitor and maintain lobby supply levels by routinely inspecting, restocking, and replacing items such as face masks, emesis bags, condoms, and other guest-use materials; promptly notify appropriate staff person when supplies are low and require reordering.

  • Act as contact person to relay information to appropriate staff as needed.

  • Support On-Call coverage when necessary for Facilities and/or Security Team.

  • Prepare and print out daily appointment sheets for Auburn Medical and Surgical Center.

  • Provide basic clerical support as needed, including checking the reception listserv email daily, responding to messages as appropriate, and ensuring requests or concerns are routed to the correct staff in a timely manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products in support of daily administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Ability to function well as a team member, including a high level of self-awareness, honesty, and empathy in interpersonal interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to treat everyone with respect and sensitivity and to effectively communicate across differences related to race, class, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin or ability.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals of diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sensitivity in dealing with client's sexuality and reproductive healthcare choices.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, sit, talk, hear, stand, bend,walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
  • Ability to get to the work site, PPSWO health centers and meetings when required.
