What is a weekend real estate agent?

A Weekend Real Estate Agent is a licensed real estate professional who primarily works on Saturdays and Sundays to assist clients with buying, selling, or renting properties. These agents focus on weekends because many clients are only available to view homes or attend open houses outside of standard weekday hours. Weekend Real Estate Agents often coordinate showings, host open houses, and negotiate deals during these high-traffic times, making their role crucial for clients with busy weekday schedules.

What does a typical weekend look like for a weekend real estate agent, and how is weekend work structured?

For real estate agents, weekends are often the busiest part of the week, as most clients are available to visit properties and attend open houses. A typical weekend may involve hosting multiple open houses, showing homes to prospective buyers, responding to inquiries, and following up with leads from the week. Agents often coordinate closely with team members or office staff to manage schedules and ensure smooth client experiences. Flexibility and strong organizational skills are essential, as the pace can be fast and priorities may shift quickly depending on client needs. Weekend work is structured to maximize client interactions and often requires proactive communication and time management.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend real estate agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Real Estate Agent, you need a real estate license, in-depth knowledge of property markets, and strong sales skills. Familiarity with MLS platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, time management, and the ability to build rapport help agents stand out in client interactions. These skills are important because they enable agents to effectively connect with clients, showcase properties, and close deals within limited weekend hours.

Job description

Thinking About Making a Change in Real Estate?

For more than 20 years, I was with a traditional brokerage.

And for a long time, I couldn't imagine leaving.

I knew the people. I knew the system. I was comfortable. And when I finally started seriously considering a change, I wrestled with the decision more than I'd like to admit.

What if I was making a mistake?

What if the grass wasn't greener?

Why change after all these years?

Then I made the move to Powerhouse Partners at Real Broker.

My biggest regret?

I wish I had done it sooner.

I've found incredible leadership in Alex and Alexis, along with smart, successful and innovative agents who genuinely want to help one another succeed.

Even more important to me, I've found shared values.

Work hard. Be kind. Help people. Share what you know. Do business the right way. And have some fun while you're doing it.

Add in a business model with competitive splits and opportunities to build income beyond your own transactions, and I've become more excited about the future of my real estate career than I've been in a long time.

After 20+ years, I wasn't looking to start over.

I was looking for an opportunity to build something bigger. And I found it.

Whether you're thinking about getting into real estate, you're a newer agent trying to figure out how to build a real business, or you're a seasoned veteran wondering if there's a better way to do this, I believe there's a place for you at Real.

And I'd love to help you explore it.

I'm proud and genuinely privileged to be part of what we're building, and I'm looking for good people who want to build it with us.

If you've been wondering what else might be out there, send me a message. Let's grab a cup of coffee, jump on a call, or just have a conversation.

No recruiting pitch. No pressure. I'll tell you what I've learned, what I like, what surprised me, and answer whatever questions you have.

You don't have to be ready to make a move. You just have to be curious enough to have the conversation.
