About Us: At San Diego Cardiac Center, we provide exceptional cardiovascular care and diagnostics. As an IAC-accredited facility, we adhere to the highest standards in patient care and imaging quality. We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer with 3 to 5 years of experience, specializing in echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in recognizing cardiovascular pathologies, be self-motivated, and eager to continue their professional development.

Position Overview: As a Cardiovascular Sonographer at San Diego Cardiac Center, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms. Your role will involve recognizing and analyzing various cardiovascular pathologies, including abnormal wall motion, to support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate results.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to identify and interpret pathologies in cardiovascular imaging, including abnormal wall motion and other significant findings.
  • Provide thorough analysis and insights from stress echocardiograms to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review findings and contribute to comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Maintain precise documentation of patient history, imaging results, and technical procedures, adhering to IAC accreditation standards.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment with a commitment to safety and quality control.
  • Educate and comfort patients throughout the imaging process, addressing their concerns and explaining procedures clearly.
  • Demonstrate a self-motivated attitude and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and techniques in cardiovascular sonography.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in cardiovascular sonography with specialized knowledge in performing and interpreting echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret complex imaging results.
  • Experience working within advanced PACS software and structured reporting
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an IAC-accredited facility and familiarity with accreditation standards and processes.
  • Experience working with electronic health records such as Epic or Cerner
  • Advanced certifications or specialization in cardiovascular sonography.
