Job Description: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Torrance, CA 90503
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 08:00 - 17:00 (5x8-Hour)
Facility Type: Outpatient Cardiology Clinic
Pay Rate: $72/hr (W2) | $77/hr (1099) 

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer for outpatient cardiology and vascular team in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound exams with an emphasis on adult echocardiography, including advanced imaging techniques and vascular assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform adult echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D, M-mode, and Doppler studies.
  • Conduct treadmill stress echocardiograms, bubble studies, and imaging with contrast agents.
  • Utilize GE E95 ultrasound equipment and PACS for image acquisition and review.
  • Document findings accurately in EPIC charting system.
  • Perform carotid ultrasounds independently and confidently.
  • Calculate diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA, and apply Simpson’s Rule for diagnostic accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient care.
  • Provide patient education and maintain infection control standards (e.g., isolation precautions).

    • ARDMS RDCS (AE) – Required
    • BLS – Required
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of adult echo experience preferred
    • 1 year of experience will be considered
    • Travel experience required
    • Experience with GE E95 ultrasound equipment strongly preferred
    • Carotid ultrasound experience required
  • Technical Skills:
    • 12-lead EKG
    • Adult outpatient imaging
    • Diastology and advanced echo calculations
    • Equipment: GE, Philips, PACS
