Job description

Candidates are invited to submit their salary expectations along with their application. The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is:

Level 2- $176,400 to $221,500 (USD),

Level 3- $196,700 to $247,000 (USD),

exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

MissionEdge is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a small, mission-focused team developing and supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Java, Git, Gradle, Guice/Dependency Injection, Docker, REST APIs, and Linux. Experience with ELK Stack, MongoDB, Ansible, and Kubernetesis highly desired. Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript is a plus, with opportunities to contribute to limited front-end development.

Candidates should be comfortable working in customer environments and collaborating within an agile, mission-driven team.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or four additional years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a degree).

Level 2: 14+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.

Level 3: 20+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Employees are required to notify management in advance of any plans to relocate out of state to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
