High Performance Tennis Professional
Overview
A High-Performance Tennis Professional will help support and grow our evolving junior performance pathway and overall tennis academy structure.
This position is ideal for a coach who is passionate about player development, modern coaching methodology, professionalism, and creating an elevated on-court experience for players and families.
The successful candidate will work closely with Tennis Directors, Program Coordinators, and coaching staff to help deliver a structured, energetic, and development-focused environment aligned with the long-term vision of the department.
This role includes coaching high-performance junior players, assisting with developmental pathways, supporting academy operations, and helping establish consistent standards across all areas of the program.
Key Responsibilities
High Performance Coaching & Player Development
• Coach high-performance junior players in both private and group settings
• Assist with development of players transitioning from developmental to competitive pathways
• Deliver organized, high-energy, modern training sessions with clear objectives and progression
• Implement structured lesson plans, academy curriculum, and coaching methodology
• Emphasize technical development, movement, footwork, rally tolerance, competitive mindset, and match-play habits
• Provide player feedback, evaluations, and developmental guidance
• Support tournament preparation and player pathway development
On-Court Standards & Professionalism
• Arrive early and fully prepared for all lessons and programs
• Maintain a consistently high level of on-court energy, engagement, and communication
• Demonstrate professional attire, appearance, and behavior at all times
• Create organized, efficient, and positive training environments
• Maximize player activity and minimize downtime during sessions
• Build strong relationships with players, parents, and members
• Deliver a high-level hospitality and customer service experience
Program & Team Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with Tennis Directors and coaching staff
• Assist with implementation of academy standards, systems, and culture
• Participate in staff trainings, meetings, and professional development initiatives
• Support tournaments, camps, clinics, special events, and player evaluations
• Help grow lesson revenue, player retention, and overall program participation
• Promote and support all Club Fit tennis programming
Communication & Accountability
• Maintain professional and timely communication with staff, players, and families
• Respond to messages within 24 hours
• Coordinate scheduling and availability professionally
• Follow all department systems, standards, and operational procedures
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, flexibility, and accountability
Qualifications
• High-level playing background preferred (college playing experience strongly preferred)
• Minimum UTR/NTRP equivalent of high-level competitive play preferred
• USPTA or PTR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Prior experience coaching competitive juniors and/or high-performance players strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Energetic, team-oriented, growth-minded personality
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds.
