MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medstar Health Orthopedics in Westminster!The ideal candidate will bea registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:15pm

The Radiology Technologist will be required to provide coverage as needed at our offices in Reisterstown, Ellicott City, and possibly Frederick.

As aRadiology Technologist,you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties:

  • Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.

  • Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.

  • Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.

  • Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology)RadiologyTechnologylicense in the State of Maryland,Virginia,orDistrict of Columbia.

  • Associate degree preferred.
