Job Summary and Qualifications

A Radiology Technician (Radiologic Technologist) performs diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays, using ionizing radiation while ensuring patient safety (ALARA standards). 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Imaging & Procedures:Perform X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic images while applying ionizing radiation safety protocols (ALARA). 


  • Patient Care:Prepare, transfer, and position patients, ensuring modesty and comfort. 


  • Equipment Management:Operate, calibrate, andmaintainimaging equipment, including Computed Radiology (CR) units andensuringproper shielding. 


  • Technical Proficiency:Selectappropriate exposurefactors to produce high-quality diagnostic images. 


  • Documentation:Accurately update patient records and clinical history in systems like MEDITECH. 


  • This position will transition to a Nights role 


Qualifications 


  • Education:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. 


  • Certification:Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. 


  • Licensure:State-specific license (e.g., Florida Department of Health CRT licensure). 


  • Basic Life Support (BLS):American Heart Association BLS certificationrequired. 


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions 


  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending. 


  • Must be able toassistin lifting and transferring patients. 


  • May require working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
