Summary of Job Duties:
The Diagnostic Student Employee produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high quality images while supervising others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Will be a graduate from a 2-year certificate program, certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
  • Eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Eligible for a license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • CPR certified

Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
  • Produces optimal x-rays for medical interpretation in the Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Department, entering information into the Radiology Information System.
  • Rotates through three modalities, portables on different floors of the hospital, the emergency department, and routine x-rays in the department.
  • QA images for quality.
  • Communicates with patients, their family members, coworkers, and physicians.
  • Continue education and learning new procedures on a day-to-day basis.
  • Performs other duties as needed
