Position Description
The Industrial Radiographer (X-Ray Technician) is responsible for performing X-ray radiography services using industrial radiographic equipment at various job sites. This role ensures safe and accurate radiographic inspections in accordance with safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company protocols. The Industrial Radiographer plays a vital role in project execution, maintaining safety standards, and delivering reliable results to support structural and operational assessments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate radiographic equipment in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
• Interpret industrial radiographs and report results confidently to clients.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain control of equipment during all operations.
• Maintain constant surveillance and security of equipment to ensure radiation safety.
• Ensure all personnel and the public are protected from radiation exposure by controlling work
zones.
• Accurately complete all required radiation and job-related reports and documents.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any incidents or equipment malfunctions.
• Provide project support and supervision of job-site activities as needed.
• Communicate findings, safety concerns, and results clearly to clients and internal teams. • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 40-hour Radiation Safety Course or state-approved program preferred.
• Valid X-ray IRRSP or State X-ray Radiographer Certification preferred.
• Prior experience in industrial radiography or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds or more.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and working at heights (including ladders, scaffolds, and
lifts over 100 feet).
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Requires full range of body motion including pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Must be able to hear, speak clearly, and visually inspect job site materials.
