Surescripts serves the nation through simpler, trusted health intelligence sharing, in order to increase patient safety, lower costs and ensure quality care. We deliver insights at critical points of care for better decisions - from streamlining prior authorizations to delivering comprehensive medication histories to facilitating messages between providers.

Job Summary

The Senior Analytics Analyst - Healthcare Data independently leads analytics workstreams that produce actionable insights, enable product decisions, and strengthen commercial narratives across Surescripts solutions. This role owns analysis from problem framing through delivery, applying strong statistical and analytical judgment to large-scale healthcare transaction data. The Senior Analytics Analyst serves as a reliable cross-functional partner, elevates analytic rigor, and mentors junior analysts while remaining hands-on.

The Senior Analytics Analyst partners with Product, Commercial, and Analytics leaders to translate complex healthcare data into scalable insights that support customer engagements, sales enablement activities, recurring business reviews, and self-service analytics adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end analytics deliverables by scoping problems, defining success metrics, developing analytic approaches, executing analyses and models, and presenting findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

  • Develop and deliver complex descriptive and diagnostic analyses while contributing to predictive and prescriptive analytics efforts using appropriate methods, validation techniques, and sound analytical judgment.

  • Partner closely with Product, Commercial, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business, customer, and market needs into measurable questions, scalable analytic solutions, and actionable insights.

  • Produce executive-ready visualizations, reports, and data-driven narratives that communicate the business impact, value, and implications of Surescripts solutions for internal and external audiences.

  • Establish and maintain reusable analytic assets, standardized methodologies, datasets, reporting solutions, and documentation that improve scalability, consistency, and self-service analytics adoption.

  • Raise the team's quality bar through code reviews, quality assurance processes, methodology transparency, and continuous improvement of analytic practices.

  • Mentor colleagues through coaching, feedback, and guidance on analytic techniques, stakeholder communication, and effective insight delivery.

  • Support customer-facing initiatives, business reviews, and sales enablement efforts by presenting analytical findings, explaining methodologies and trends, and translating complex healthcare data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or related field required.

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder analyses; healthcare analytics experience strongly preferred.

  • Advanced SQL proficiency and strong Python or R capabilities for data analysis and modeling.

  • Strong visualization, storytelling, and presentation skills using Tableau, Looker, or similar tools, including experience translating complex analytical findings into executive-ready insights for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to work with large datasets while applying sound validation, quality assurance, and reproducibility practices.

  • Experience supporting business, product, commercial, customer-facing, consulting, customer success, or healthcare solutions analytics initiatives and communicating data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to create executive-ready presentations, reports, and supporting materials that communicate business value through data.

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple analytics initiatives and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience working with healthcare transaction data, pharmacy data, claims data, patient journey analytics, or other large-scale healthcare datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field preferred.
