Job description

Overview
Job Purpose
This role will be part of a team responsible for reviewing requirements, test documentation, functional testing, and end-user training for global corporate tools to support various teams throughout the organization, with a primary focus on Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) and Salesforce. This position requires technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills. The QA Analyst II will bring experience with testing software, requirements review, training users, and functional testing, along with working knowledge of financial or accounting concepts (e.g., billing, invoicing, revenue recognition) needed to validate transaction and billing workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Test and support corporate applications, with emphasis on ORMB (billing, rating, invoicing) and Salesforce (including CPQ), as well as Oracle Cloud and other enterprise applications.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for new and existing application features.
  • Validate billing, invoicing, and financial transaction accuracy within ORMB, including SQL-based data verification given the system's data-heavy, UI-light testing profile.
  • Report defects, help manage the triage process and ensure all issues are handled efficiently.
  • Communicate with internal customers in non-technical terms, understand business requirements, and propose solutions.
  • Work on projects from specification gathering, to development, to QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production.
  • Participate in meetings and organize work and/or training sessions around new software being introduced into the ICE technology environment.
  • Document changes and author documentation on software functionality.
  • Provide timely status updates and assist the team in making decisions about release readiness.
  • Enhances team and coworkers through knowledge sharing and implementing best practices in day-to-day activities.
  • Takes initiative to continually learn and enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Software testing
  • Problem solving skills
  • Project/time management
  • Experience with Enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce, ORMB, Oracle Financials Cloud)
  • Working knowledge of financial or accounting concepts (e.g., billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, general ledger) sufficient to test and validate financial application workflows
  • Proficiency with SQL for data validation and querying, particularly for backend/database-level testing of billing and financial data
  • Knowledge of test case mapping and execution, test management tools and test case writing techniques
  • Experience with Web Services / Web APIs including both SOAP and REST
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Preferred Knowledge and Experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ or other quote-to-cash / order management processes is a plus
  • Experience with Test Automation, JavaScript, web design, web applications, data structures are a plus
