Pay: $160,000 - $190,000

Location: Toledo, OR

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong pulp & paper background to lead projects at a major pulp mill in Oregon. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has previously worked on-site at a mill and served as a client or engineering representative, building relationships and coordinating projects directly with plant operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead engineering projects from planning and design through installation, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Serve as a key on-site point of contact between the client, engineering teams, contractors, and plant operations.
  • Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, execution plans, and project deliverables.
  • Manage project costs, schedules, quality, scope changes, and critical path activities.
  • Coordinate contractors, resources, field activities, and project sequencing.
  • Build strong client relationships, understand operational needs, and identify opportunities for future projects.
  • Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site requirements.
  • Help improve the reliability and efficiency of mill operations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Significant project management experience within pulp & paper or industrial manufacturing.
  • Previous experience working at a pulp or paper mill is required.
  • Experience representing an engineering organization or serving as an on-site client/owner representative.
  • Experience managing projects through installation and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end and detailed engineering processes.
  • Experience with contractors, integrated scheduling, cost control, critical path, and change management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with plant leadership, engineers, contractors, and field teams.

If you thrive in a plant environment, enjoy being the person who keeps projects moving, and have the pulp & paper experience to earn the trust of operations teams, this is an opportunity to make an immediate impact.
