Job description

Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a well‑established outpatient practice within Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. This hybrid position offers a mix of in‑clinic and remote workdays.

Responsibilities
  • The physician will conduct evaluations for psychiatric conditions, substance and alcohol use disorders, social concerns, and related medical issues in both tele‑psychiatry and outpatient settings, with a focus on outpatient adult psychiatry care
  • Utilize evidence‑based treatment approaches, including psychotropic medications and individual therapy
  • Outpatient responsibilities include initial and follow‑up mental health evaluations, medication management, and care delivered through a team‑based model, with 36 hours of direct patient contact per week
  • Strong referral base, with an average of 14 scheduled visits per day
  • Work alongside a team of five physicians with strong support staff
  • Collaborate closely with licensed therapists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists
  • 1:7 weekend call rotation providing consult services at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City

Requirements
  • Must hold an active Missouri and Kansas medical license, or be eligible to obtain both
  • Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry, with completion (or in progress) of an accredited psychiatry residency program
  • Fellowship training or experience in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry desirable
