Job description

The Renovations Project Manager oversees all multi-family residential projects, both on currently owned assets and newly acquired assets. This role provides management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being following and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Extensive travel is required for this position up to 80-90%.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop a schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
  • Oversee the daily construction and repair activities at all work sites to include scheduling of assigned personnel and sub-contractors, delivery of materials, and project progress.
  • Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project, overseeing performance of subcontractors.
  • Meet budget control and profit objectives of multiple projects.
  • Assume project responsibility and authority across all functions from contracts to completions of multiple projects.
  • Interface and communicate with senior management on progress of projects. Partner with them to resolve strategic issues that arise. Including maintaining accurate records and reporting status updates weekly.
  • Approve and manage all site work estimates and sub-contract change orders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • 5+ years of experience in supervising Class C construction projects of increasing complexity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to manage projects to completion within required timeline and within budget.
  • Ability to hold contractors accountable during all phases of the project.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
