The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and executing projects from bid stage through completion. This position serves as a critical link between Sales, Operations, Production, Logistics, and Customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Bid Management

  • Coordinate projects from bidding through final completion.
  • Ensure all project information is entered accurately into company systems to support pricing, forecasting, inventory planning, and production scheduling.
  • Prepare project pricing and budgetary proposals.
  • Gather and analyze project requirements to ensure accurate costing and execution.
  • Negotiate pricing and services with installers, subcontractors, and external vendors when applicable.
  • Maintain awareness of market pricing trends and regional project costs.

Project Award & Execution

  • Manage project submittals, product data, and sample approvals.
  • Coordinate contract execution and customer approvals prior to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Construction Managers, Production, and Logistics teams to schedule material deliveries and installation activities.
  • Monitor project timelines and proactively communicate status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Process change orders, base invoices, and project documentation while resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate closeout packages, warranty documentation, and project completion requirements.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments including Sales, Supply Chain, Legal, Production, Logistics, Customer Service, and Marketing.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Resolve project challenges and escalate issues when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

Project Completion & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities.
  • Participate in closeout meetings with customers.
  • Conduct project reviews and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives based on business needs and individual strengths.

What You Need for Success

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management, construction, bidding, contract administration, or related experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
