Weekend Requirements: Every Other | Work Hours: 6p-2:30a | Status: Full Time - 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Environmental Services
Job Summary:
Cleans and maintains a wide variety of floors using specialized professional cleaning methods appropriate to the situation.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and maintains floor care projects.
  • Completes such specialized cleaning tasks as floor stripping and waxing, floor buffing, and heavy duty carpet cleaning, etc.
  • Works around harsh chemicals, strippers, wax, baseboard cleaners, etc.
  • Removes trash from various departments and dispose of them in appropriate areas.
  • May clean, stock, sweep, mop, sanitize or vacuum offices, public areas, hallways, stairs, lobbies, closets, copy rooms or other work areas as assigned.
  • May assist in housekeeping.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
