Job description

Description

BLOX is revolutionizing the construction industry by integrating advanced manufacturing principles with innovative technology to deliver high-quality, modular building solutions. We are driven by a mission to rethink how buildings are designed, fabricated, and delivered, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

BLOX is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager I (APM I) to support end-to-end project execution within our Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) delivery model. The APM I is an entry-level role in the Program Management Group that blends office-based program coordination with onsite field support, with the emphasis shifting between the two based on project phase and assignment.

The core of this role is information fluency: intake information from many sources, process it accurately, and communicate it to the right stakeholders at the right time. Program Management is the central nervous system of BLOX, and the APM I learns to be a reliable node in that system.

Job Responsibilities:

Program Management

Maintain program schedules and enterprise coordination artifacts, including the BLOX Project Milestone Schedule, Order Book, Program Operations Shared Resources (POSR) Schedule, and assigned program schedules.

Maintain Buyout Logs for Manufacturing (MFG), FKOP/DTS, and Subcontractors; update status and flag slippage to the Project Manager.

Capture Quality Feedback Loop (QFL) inputs and track corrective actions through closure.

Support FKOP transfer and module custody transfer documentation.

Assist in MFG constraint elimination for program-related items.

Organize and route project information - drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and change directives - so that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.

Participate in weekly POSR and QFL meetings; contribute to agendas and minutes as directed.

Assist in project closeout: document organization, punch list tracking, and warranty turnover.

Field Management

Provide onsite support during module set, punch, and other key construction milestones.

Assist with onsite material receiving and tracking.

Support subcontractor onboarding and orientation.

Generate safety and quality observation reports.

Assist the Field PM with preparation of the Client Weekly Progress Report.

Maintain accurate onsite documentation: daily logs, photographs, and issue tracking.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

0-2 years of relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, or project management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting and filtering, basic pivot tables).

Working familiarity with scheduling and at least one scheduling platform (MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet).

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam.

Ability to travel 25-50% depending on project phase and assignment.

Ownership mindset and commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred

Exposure to estimating, cost analysis, or data analytics within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.

Familiarity with data analysis tools.

Familiarity with CAD, Revit, or SolidWorks models.

Basic understanding of cost modeling and financial analysis concepts.

Exposure to Python, SQL, or data modeling tools.

Awareness of AI/ML, statistical modeling, or data engineering concepts.

Familiarity with modular construction or design-build environments.

Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude.ai, Claude Code, Lovable, or Replit.

Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools.

Benefits:
