Job Description:
Forte Dynamics, now part of SLR Consulting, is seeking a Project Assistant to support day-to-day operations and help keep the office running smoothly. This is a full-time, in-person position at our Fort Collins office. This person will work under the supervision of the Office Manager and Directors and will also provide operational support to Forte Analytical, our sister company and metallurgical laboratory.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
Key Responsibilities:
Project Assistance
  • Support proposal efforts, project setup, and maintenance of project records
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, and delivery logistics
  • Maintain receipts and documentation to support invoice tracking and recordkeeping
  • Assist with sample inventory and procurement of equipment, consumables, and supplies
  • Provide project support including printing, scanning, filing, document organization, and file transfers
  • Assist with travel booking and logistics for employees, including flights, lodging, transportation, and itineraries
  • Assist with compilation, formatting, proofreading, and quality review of project memos, lab reports, proposals, and other internal or client-facing documents
  • Organize and archive project files and maintain shared repositories (templates, resumes, SOQs, and marketing materials) in accordance with internal standards
  • Schedule meetings and assist with coordination of recurring internal meetings and client meetings
  • Support the Health & Safety Officer in maintaining documentation, safety equipment inventory, and compliance records (e.g., MSHA/OSHA certifications)

Office Operations & Coordination
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional office environment, including shared spaces, pantry/fridge, and supply areas

  • Order and restock office supplies and maintain inventory and equipment records
  • Coordinate office services, maintenance, and technology needs with vendors, IT, and appropriate personnel
  • Ensure workstations for guest workers and new employees are prepared and functional
  • Track employee PTO, travel schedules, and maintain related calendar updates
  • Assist with planning and coordination of company events, trainings, client meetings, and company vehicle maintenance

  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to take direction well, learn quickly, and work independently when needed
  • Editing and technical writing experience preferred
  • Desktop publishing experience (Adobe Acrobat or similar) preferred
  • Prior experience supporting office operations, coordination, or business support functions preferred
