We are looking for an energetic, experienced Production Supervisor to lead our team in our Hogansville, GA location. The Production Supervisor is a dynamic and detail-oriented person with food and leadership experience responsible for leading, coordinating, training and supervising day-to-day production personnel. This role supervises hourly production associates/operators, coordinates with maintenance, and quality teams, and ensuring that quality products are ready in a timely manner for shipping to meet customer needs, while maintaining all safety requirements, and production schedules are met. Areas of responsibilities include all Production operating areas, to include but not limited to Batching, Pre-Mix, Dump Room, Mixing levels, and production lines.

  • Supervise and support hourly production employees
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency targets
  • Responsible for ensuring that production output is maximized through planning, utilization of people, and effective management of process and packaging equipment.
  • Responsible for working closely with QA to ensure that quality procedures and GMPโ€™s are followed.
  • Responsible to make sure employees are adequately trained in their areas, understand their responsibilities and are held accountable for their actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and scrap reduction, waste and rework.
  • Address production issues, downtime, quality concerns, and labor challenges in real time
  • Review all production paperwork and ensure its complete at the end of each shift.
  • Execute all procedures and policies that are put in place to reach company objectives.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings, hand-offs, and daily production reporting
  • Responsible for the Housekeeping of the assigned work area.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance, schedule and recordkeeping are followed accordingly.
  • Ensure sanitation is maintained by employees.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to attendance, discipline, safety, and performance management
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Associateโ€™s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 2 -3 years of supervision/management experience in a food manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and troubleshooting instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks.
  • Spanish speaking as second language a plus
