Job Description

CTR Group is seeking powdercoat painting assistants in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! What we offer: weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and safety first! 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday 1st shift. Job description: This role supports operations at the powder coating automation line. Tasks include cleaning, masking, plugging and hanging parts on the finishing line, assists with placing parts in curing oven, loading and unloading parts to overhead conveyor, labeling and packaging finished parts, performing quality checks, and product assembly. The role also involves performing touch-ups if needed and maintaining equipment. Attention to detail and basic knowledge of powder types, grounding, and safety procedures are essential for meeting production and quality standards. Responsibilities: inspection of materials before and after paint finishing, preparing parts for painting such as masking, plugging hardware, and tape techniques, follow all safety protocols and company procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of coating materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, loading and unloading parts on overhead conveyor, labeling and sorting finished parts, assisting in the packing or staging of painted parts for shipment or assembly. Required: able to work in a team-oriented environment, able to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers, able to follow verbal instructions, strong situational awareness, attention to detail, able to lift 50-75 lbs occasionally 100 lbs.
