Registered Nurse (PRN)

PRN shifts - PRN Days/Swings=Days (5a-5p) & Swings (6p-10p) OR PRN Swings/Graves=Swings (6p-10p) & Graves (5p-5a) PLUS, generous shift differentials for night & weekend shifts

Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT, is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years of age. We counsel, teach and mentor children placed in our care and give each child a chance to make successful changes.

Your essential functions & objectives:

  • Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for students
  • Initial and ongoing assessment of physical health of students and educating students regarding connection between physical and mental health
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Nursing Department philosophy, and assumes responsibility for maintaining Standards of Nursing Practice and Standards of Care for all patients

Your qualifications include:

  • Utah RN licensure or multi-state compact license to practice in Utah
  • 2 years' experience in the behavioral health/psychiatric nursing field is preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen
  • Must work 2 shifts every two weeks unless there is no need
  • Must cover 2 call outs in a rolling calendar year and cover either Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day
  • Must be able to attend mandatory new employee orientation and all other required training
