Highland Care Centerย is currently searching for talented Registered Nurseโ€™s to join our PRN team!

RN Responsibilities:

  • Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out the duties of this job.
  • Receive reports at the beginning of each shift. Assess the physical and emotional status of each resident and evaluate their need for continued or immediate care.
  • Delegate responsibility for the direct care of each resident to appropriate nursing personnel according to needs, physical layout of care areas and staff ability.
  • Be responsible for all phases of direct resident care, within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Ensure that nursing staff perform all restorative measures recommended in the plan of care and required by each residentโ€™s condition. Report all incidents of change in residentโ€™s condition to the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist physicians on rounds and keep them informed of the status of each resident, changes in condition and medical emergencies.
  • Plan working schedule to allow for education, supervision, and evaluations of performance for all nursing personnel during the shift.
  • Maintain completeness of resident charts and individual care plans, making sure entries are timely, informative, and descriptive of residentโ€™s condition.
  • Write daily nursing notes on all skilled residents, and monthly summary notes on each resident according to posted schedule.
  • Be responsible for timely execution of all physician orders, including laboratory testing, specialized therapy orders, and preparation and administration of all medications as indicated.

RN Requirements:

  • Must have a valid RN license in good standing.
  • Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
  • Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
