Job description

Packaging Inserters-$1,500 Hiring Bonus Available
The Grand Island Independent is seeking dependable FT and PT packaging inserters to work evenings in an industrial environment due to expansion of our print products.
Duties include:
  • operating inserting machine
  • feeding pre-prints into insert machine hoppers
  • verifying counts of papers
  • labeling and topping of bundles
  • bundling and shipping papers and pre-prints
  • operate a hydraulic pallet jack and powered strapping equipment
  • clean the work area as needed
  • other duties as assigned including janitorial duties

The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, demonstrate a positive attendance record, and have the ability to work rotating evenings, nights, and weekends.
