Nights & Weekends Receptionist (25–30 Hours/Week)Ideal for a Pre-Veterinary Student Seeking Hands-On Experience

Are you pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and looking for meaningful experience in a veterinary hospital setting? We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Nights & Weekends Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideally suited for a pre-veterinary student interested in gaining exposure to veterinary medicine, client communication, and hospital operations.

Schedule

  • 25–30 hours per week

  • Must be available to work 2–3 weekday evening shifts

  • Rotating weekends required

  • Must be available to work throughout the year, including summer, school breaks, and holiday periods

  • This position is not intended for students who leave the area for extended periods during academic breaks

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling appointments

  • Check patients in and out of the hospital

  • Process payments and maintain accurate client records

  • Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary staff

  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Qualifications

  • Interest in veterinary medicine, animal science, or a related field

  • Pre-veterinary students strongly encouraged to apply

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable working around animals of all sizes
